The Choir's weekly live half hour broadcast Music and the Spoken Word is the nation's longest-running network program, having run continuously since 1929.
The broadcast takes place every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. Those wishing to attend should plan to be in their seats by 9:15 a.m.
In June, July, August, and December, the broadcasts are held across the street in the Conference Center, which can accomodate the larger summer and Christmas season crowds.
[Exception for 2009: Broadcasts/rehearsals will continue to be held in the Tabernacle until mid-June, when the Choir and Orchestra leave for their U.S. central states tour.
The move to the Conference Center will take place after their return on July 1.] Broadcasts are also held in the Conference Center during LDS semiannual General Conferences,
which take place on the first Sunday of October and April. Admission on these two Sundays is only available to Conference ticketholders.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir rehearses every Thursday evening in the Tabernacle. Unless otherwise noted below, the rehearsals are open to the public. Doors are opened at 8:00 pm
and the rehearsal concludes at 9:30.
[During the months when broadcasts are being held in the Conference Center (see above), rehearsals also take place there.]

Organ Recitals |

Daily

Organ recitals are given daily in the Tabernacle on Temple Square by the Tabernacle organists and by specially invited guest organists. The recitals begin at 12:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday (2:00 p.m. on Sundays).
From Memorial Day through Labor Day, recitals begin at 12:00 p.m. and at 2:00 p.m. (Sundays at 2:00 p.m. only).

Ogden Pioneer Days Commemorative Concert |

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square will present a free public concert in honor of the 75th Anniversary of the Ogden, Utah, Pioneer Days Celebration.
The concert will take place in the Dee Events Center on the campus of Weber State University. Free tickets will be available starting June 3, 2009 at 10 am. Ticket holders must be 8 years or older and each ticket request will be limited to 6 tickets.

Pioneer Day Concert |

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square will perform in the annual First Presidency Pioneer Day LIVE Commemoration Concert on Friday, July 17, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in the Conference Center auditorium on Temple Square. Mack Wilberg, music director, will be conducting.
Repertoire for the concert will feature selections from the Choir and Orchestra’s 2009 Central States tour in Cincinnati, St. Louis, Des Moines, Omaha, Kansas City, Denver, and Norman, Oklahoma. The concert will also commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Music and the Spoken Word broadcast in song, and with a special video tribute.
Ticket Release: Saturday, June 6 – Monday June 15,
